Sorting Things Out
Recently I have been on a bit of a mission to sort the house out. I’ve just recently done up my office area so that I have somewhere that I can escape to when I need to get work done without cluttering the house up. Once I’d done that I bought a new drawer unit for the landing which fit perfectly whilst adding some much-needed extra storage. The landing was still missing something though but I couldn’t quite put my finger on what it was. I realised after much deliberation that the landing is the only place in the house where we don’t have any softer less harsh lighting other than the main light. I decided that what we needed was a lamp to create a cosier atmosphere but because it was going to be on show why not make it a feature lamp?
Dandelion Interiors
I looked everywhere for the perfect feature style lamp – one that could be on display whilst still serving a purpose yet fit in with our décor and style. By chance I came across Dandelion Interiors which is a family owned and run lighting and home décor boutique. I loved that they stock really unique and beautiful pieces that you wouldn’t necessarily see everywhere.
I was instantly drawn to the amazing collection of lamps and lighting. They have some absolutely beautiful chandeliers which are just breath-taking – of course I don’t have a suitable place to hang a chandelier but their range of lamps is just as extensive! I loved the range and choice available and the fact that everything was unique and different made it feel special.
Finding a Lamp
I was instantly drawn to this bell jar lamp with it’s beautiful detailed bulb. It creates a beautiful focal piece whilst remaining practical and fitting in well with our ‘style.’ It’s a really good quality, solid piece that creates a nice homely atmosphere and a nice feature addition to our landing. It would work just as well in our bedroom or to add an edgier side to my office but it absolutely needs to be somewhere where it’s beauty can be admired!
The only problem I have is now I feel like I have the Dandelion Interiors bug and I’m already lining up a new lamp for the living room!
