Unicorn Cookies using Dr Oetker Unicorn Chips

Unicorn themes are all the rage at the moment and to honour this trend I decided to bake some Unicorn cookies!

These cookies are gooey and soft and I think you will agree that they tick the unicorn theme box! They are really easy and simple to make that simple in fact Henry helped me make them!

Unicorn Cookies Recipe

Ingredients

125g Softened Unsalted Butter

100g Caster Sugar

100g Soft Light Brown Sugar

1 Beaten Egg

225g Self-Raising Flour

½ tsp Salt

1 tsp Vanilla Extract

Dr Oetker White Chocolate Unicorn Chips

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 160 degrees Celsius.

 

  1. Cream together the caster sugar and light brown sugar with the softened butter until fully combined.

 

  1. Add the egg and vanilla extract.

 

  1. Sift the flour and salt and combine into a dough.

 

  1. Roll into equal sized balls and place on a lined baking tray.

 

  1. Dot the Unicorn chips on top sporadically.

 

  1. Bake in the oven for 11-12 minutes.

 

  1. Remove from the oven and allow to cool before transferring to a wire rack.

These Unicorn Cookies are lovely served warm with a scoop of ice cream or cooled fully for a delicious snack!

TOP TIP: If you like a gooey/chewy cookie then take them out a fraction earlier. If you prefer a cookie with bite then leave them in an extra minute.

The Dr Oetker Unicorn Chips are perfect for baking these Unicorn Cookies. The colours are perfect and they don’t bleed during baking. They retain the bold and bright colouring which makes them ideal for a recipe like this! They taste just like white chocolate chips but so much more fun!

    wow these look lovely and sound like they are easy enough to make, my little sister is obsessed with all things unicorns so I’m definitely going to have to make her these, thanks for sharing xx
