How to have the Perfect at Home Pamper Day

Having a pamper day can offer great benefits both physically and mentally. It’s important to indulge in some self-care every now and then but pamper days can be expensive and difficult to commit to if like me you have children! That’s why I’ve put together some tips on how to have the perfect at home pamper day!

Set the Scene

The key to a good pamper day is setting the right scene and creating a spa-like atmosphere! Turn down the lights, light some candles and play some soft music. Get comfortable in a fluffy robe and have some soft towels to hand. Try and allow yourself some uninterrupted time to yourself so ditch the phone and other technology and completely relax.

Create your own Spa

Running a hot bath and soaking in it for as long as possible can help you to unwind. If you can why not indulge in a nice shower allowing the water to massage your shoulders. Water pressure is key so make sure your showerhead is adjusted accordingly. You can shop home booster sets online if you need to boost your water pressure. Investing in some nice bath and shower oils in your favourite scents that will help you relax and indulge your skin is well worth it. If you can, let the bathroom fill with steam from the shower this is a great way to open up your pores and flush out those unwanted toxins.

Make your own Face Mask

Treating your skin to a face mask is a great way to indulge in a pamper day. You can find different face masks dependent on your skin type or why not whip up your own using some fresh strawberries and coconut oil! Give your face good cleanse before and make sure you apply a facial moisturiser and serum afterwards.

Moisturise

Our skin goes through such a huge amount of abuse on a daily basis and treating it to some moisture will make it look and feel a world better. Give your skin a good hydration treat and massage in some body oil or body lotion to keep skin soft and supple.

Stay Hydrated

Make sure that you drink plenty of water to stay hydrated. We often don’t drink enough causing our bodies to become dehydrated. If we become dehydrated our body has to work much harder to function normally. This can cause headaches and make us feel lethargic and unwell. Staying hydrated helps make you feel better on the inside and it’s a great boost for your skin too.

Good Night Sleep

After a home pamper day make sure that you rest and continue to relax through the evening and night. This will mean that you wake up feeling fully recharged and reap the most benefits from your pamper. Getting into fresh bedding, using a lavender pillow spray and an eye mask can really help.
