We are quite a big foodie family, and we enjoy cooking and tasting new foods, so any foodie inspired gifts always go down well. If you are looking for a gift perfect for the foodie in your life, then I hope this post will give you some inspiration.
Food
The top gift on my foodie list has to be- food of course so that seems like the most obvious place to start!! When it comes to food Opies have the best selection of foodie products for Christmas. Great for building into a hamper or adding as a stocking filler their range is so extensive there is something for absolutely everyone.
Take for example their Apricot with Jim Bean or Mixed Berries with Prosecco served with cream they make the perfect dessert. If you want something a bit different then why not try the *Pickled Walnuts perfect for adding to your favourite recipes for festive gatherings. Oh, and don’t forget the *Sliced Lemons and *Cocktail Cherries for serving with drinks!
Hampers make great gifts for foodie lovers, and this Santa’s Surprise Hamper from Giftpup is filled to the brim with delicious sweet and savoury treats. The hessian sack is decorated like a Santa sack which can be used over and over again! You can also personalise this gift with a message to the lucky recipient adding that personal touch. The sack contains:
- Quibbles Three Nuts & Cranberry 100g,
- Radfords Chocolate & Caramel Fudge Bag 113g,
- Gourmet Snowman Mallows 140g,
- Taste Chocolate Dipped Shortbread 150g,
- Milk Chocolate Bauble Tree Decoration 60g,
- Taste Old Fashioned Pear Drops 100g,
- Sun-Dried Tomato Breadsticks 100g,
- Clio Soft Nougat with Honey, Almonds & Cranberries 40g
Is it really Christmas if you don’t eat at least a dozen Mince Pies? I’m quite fussy about my Mince Pies, but the OGGS range of entirely ethical Mince Pies are a must-try this year. They are handmade and completely egg and dairy-free, but you wouldn’t guess that from the taste! The pastry is moist and crumbly, and they are filled to the top with a delicious festive filling. Oh, and if that wasn’t quite enough to tempt you, the packaging is sustainably sourced, and the plastic is 100% recycled and fully recyclable. Still, if somehow it does end up in landfill it’s completely biodegradable too!! Available from Sainsbury’s priced from £2.50 for a pack of four!
Guylian chocolates always make a lovely gift, and they always have a lovely selection of products that are excellent for Christmas. I personally adore the Guylian Praline Sea Shell selection. The unique marbled shapes have a delicious praline centre which makes them a perfect treat to share while cuddled up on the sofa watching festive films!
A festive foodie favourite this year is the Pumpkin Spice Almond Butter from Pip & Nut. This new limited-edition flavour is warm and spicy and all things festive. It is delicious on a slice of toast or spooned straight from the jar!!
If Bean to Bar Chocolate excites you or you want a stocking filler that will wow your foodie friend then Salcombe Dairy ‘The Bar’ is precisely what you need. This Peruvian chocolate range is created using organic cacao from the Peruvian rainforest and presented in luxury packaging. Oh, and they taste incredible too!
Foodie Accessories
Anyone that likes cooking needs a good set of scales. These cute Gingerbread Digital Kitchen Scales from Salter are perfect for weighing out ingredients for baking and cooking! The slim design makes them ideal for storing, and the large digital display is easy to read.
If you want to add some fizzy fun to Christmas, then a Sodastream machine is the perfect gift. Not only is this a fun gift, but it also has an environmental impact too. Single-use plastics are polluting our oceans and killing our wildlife and environment. A SodaStream machine helps reduce this making it a responsible gift too! Fizzing up still water is simple and easy with the Spirit One Touch Machine. You just fill the included bottle to the line, attach to the machine and press the button for the level of fizz you want. They also do flavours which you can add to the water once fizzed if you fancy a bit of a twist!
Foodies are always collecting recipe books to inspire and excite them, and there really is a vast amount on the market to choose from. My favourite this year has to be *Mary Berry Cooks Up a Feast. This is the perfect book for people that like to entertain and cook for others. The pages are filled with stunning images and delicious recipes it’s sure to be a well-received gift this Christmas.
Drinks
If you are looking to gift a nice bottle of red this Christmas then Apothic Wine is the place to shop. This wine is a rich blend of dark red fruit with a hint of vanilla. There isn’t much not to like about this red making it the perfect choice for festive parties or serving to guest on Christmas day.
I am a big ProCook fan myself, and I often buy gifts for foodie friends from their website. Their range is so vast and affordable there is literally something for everyone. My top pick this Christmas has to be these Crystal Champagne Glasses which are perfect for any occasion where bubbles and fizz are in order. They come in a pack of four and have a beautiful angled design which is both stylish and elegant. ProCook have 50 stores (almost 51) across the country – find out where your nearest one is here.
Christmas really wouldn’t be the same without a festive glass of fizz! If you want something a bit different this year then why not add a drop of Cranes Cranberry & Blood Orange Liqueur to a glass of prosecco? This liqueur is perfect for creating a festive cocktail, but just as lovely served neat. Available from Ocado RRP £9.00.
If you are looking for something a bit special then luxurious British brand called Keepr’s is exactly what you need. Keepr’s source their botanicals from around the British Countryside. The chosen botanicals are blended with spirits such as vodka, gin or rum. Personally I love Keepr’s Christmas Spiced Cotswold Honey & English Vodka. This is a premium vodka infused with pure British honey from their own apiaries. I’ve heard that adding a drop to warm mulled apple cider makes the perfect festive tipple and I cannot wait to give it a try!
Keepr’s Christmas Spiced Cotswold Honey & English Vodka will be available exclusively from Ocado from the end of November.
I hope I’ve managed to give you some inspiration for foodie inspired gifts this Christmas. Do you have any suggestions for gifts that a foodie lover would like? I would love to hear them!
