Christmas Gift Guide For Babies & Toddlers 2018

Merry Xmas stocking fillers for children gift guide

It’s our first Christmas in seven years with a baby, and it got me thinking about how hard it is finding gifts for babies and toddlers. I’ve put together a list of items that would make great gifts this year so if you’re stuck check them out!

Gifts for Babies & Toddlers

Peppa Pig Shape Sorter

Shaped in a beautiful wooden campervan that has four different shaped holes and eight brightly coloured wooden shapes. This toy encourages the recognition and identification of shapes as well as helping to improve hand-eye coordination. It’s great for children to learn the theory of trial and error and this is very much a toy that toddlers can play with independently. The shapes are a good size making them easy to hold and manoeuvre and the design is fun and exciting for youngsters.

The Peppa Pig Shape Sorter is recommended for ages 2+ and has an RRP of £15.99. Find out more and purchase from John Lewis.

Dear Zoo Puzzle Tray

Illustrated with the characters from the book Dear Zoo this puzzle tray is bright and engaging. There are eight wooden pieces in total all of which are a good size making it easy for small hands to grab and move on their own. This is a great toy for encouraging skills developed through hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.

The Dear Zoo Puzzle Tray is well made and solid making it a toy that will last through lots of play and use. Recommended for ages 1 year+ with an RRP of £12.00 you can find out more and purchase here.

Buff Baby

I’ve reviewed the BUFF Kids collection before, and as a family, we love their products we all own at least one BUFF product each, and they are well used. Buff products make fabulous gifts, and they also do a Baby Buff range for younger children. Wearing Buff products is fun, but they are also practical too. They are also great at keeping you warm, and snug in the Winter and they even wick away moisture to help keep you cool in hotter weather!

BUFF products are well made and come in a variety of different designs find out more and purchase on the BUFF website here.

Hape Clown Stacker

These colourful and chunky wooden rings can be stacked on top of one another to build the clown. Each piece is a good size so young children can help improve their fine motor skills and dexterity. This is a great toy for helping learn and recognise colours and sizes. The toy is designed so that it’s easy for children to slide the rings on by themselves encouraging independence. All materials are high quality, non-toxic and child-safe so there are no worries about young children putting them in their mouths.

The Hape Clown Stacker is suitable for toddlers aged 12 months+ and has an RRP of £8.99 and you can find out more or purchase here.

Hape Pound and Tap Bench

The Pound and Tap Bench is made out of high-quality wood and decorated in beautiful bright colours. Little ones tap the wooden spheres using the mallet, and they roll down the xylophone making music. This is a great toy to help introduce and explore music and sounds as well as encouraging colour recognition. Each key on the xylophone plays a different note, and the xylophone can be used on its own.

The Hape Pound and Tap Bench is suitable for ages 12 months + and has an RRP of £19.99 find out more and purchase here.

Hape Beaded Raindrops – Rainmaker

Both of my children have loved the sound of rainmakers. The Hape Beaded Raindrops Rainmaker stimulates senses and makes a soothing rain sound that is great for calming down an overtired or overstimulated child. It’s designed for little hands so they can hold it or shake it with ease. This is a well-made toy using high-quality materials it is built to be played with and to last.

The Hape Beaded Raindrops Rainmaker is suitable for ages 12 months + and has an RRP of £10.99 find out more and purchase on *Amazon.

Inch Blue

Inch Blue is a new brand that was introduced to me after I had Hugo. Since that moment I have become quite obsessed with their collection of absolutely beautiful handmade soft leather shoes. Inch Blue shoes are designed with a babies foot in mind making sure that they can breathe and grow naturally without causing issues or implications.

Each pair of Inch Blue shoes is like a work of art they are just so cute, and it’s reassuring that they aren’t detrimental to a babies precious feet either!! All of the Inch Blue shoes are rigorously tested to make sure they exceed British and European standards.

My favourite for babies has to be the Giraffe Cream they are just so cute, and they have a suede sole which is ideal for pre-walkers and newborns. They are easy to get on and off, and there is plenty of room inside for a wiggly foot! You can find out more about the whole of the Inch Blue range and purchase on their website here.

Boots Mini Club

If you are looking for the perfect festive outfit or just some snuggly Christmas sleepwear, then I am really impressed with Boots Mini Club.

If like me it’s your babies first Christmas then the My First Christmas 3 piece set is absolutely adorable. Priced at £12.00 you get a gorgeous all in one suit in white covered in festive candy canes and Christmas trees. It also comes with the matching bib and hat and will be the perfect Christmas Day outfit!!

If you have any Christmas parties to attend, then your little one can look dapper in The Mini Club, All Dressed Up Dungaree Set. This little outfit might look smart and snazzy, but it is easy to get on and off as well and do nappy changes without fuss. The set is priced at £22.00.

Finally, for some festive sleepwear the Mini Club Christmas Safari, All In One is soooo incredibly cute. Priced at £6.00 its 100% cotton with an envelope neck and easy to access poppers.

All of the clothes are well made, and high quality and I was surprised that they didn’t carry a higher price tag!! I definitely recommend them!!

aden + anais

One of my favourite baby brands has to be aden + anais. They have such a wonderful collection of swaddles, blankets, muslin squares and sleep bags. The quality is second to none, and the designs are absolutely beautiful. Hugo is just starting to sleep in a sleeping bag, and I really rate the aden + anais Winter Sleeping bag. Perfect for the dropping temperatures as we move into a British winter the sleeping bag is incredibly soft with shoulder poppers and a two-way zip for ease and convenience.

There are so many beautiful designs from aden + anais you really have to check out their website to truly appreciate the range. The Night Sky Reverie – Up Sleeping bag is £55.00 and comes in three sizes 0-6 months, 6-18 months and 18-36 months.

Attachable Little Nutbrown Rabbit Toy

This cute Little Nutbrown toy comes with an attachable clip so it can be used with a pram, car seat or even a baby gym for fun on the go or at home. It’s a super soft and cuddly plush toy that little ones will love!

What makes this toy even more special is that it can be personalised with your little ones initial!! Suitable from birth and priced at £19.99 you can find out more and purchase here.
