February 2017 Roundup – Updates on Life, Family, Stitch and my favourites

Here is my February 2017 roundup including whats been going on and things I have been loving and recommend!

Life

February has been a wonderful month because Henry has been off school for half term. I didn’t want it to be a week of sitting in front of the TV entertaining himself why I faff about with less important white noise. So we sat down together and planned out some adventures for his week at home. One of our adventures took us to the Cinema where we saw Sing which is a cute and funny film aimed at children but certainly entertaining for adults too. I feel a pang of sadness that on Monday morning he will be heading back to school I really will miss him.

Stitch

It wouldn’t be my February  2017 roundup without mentioning the French Devil himself. I have spent most of February trying to house train Stitch and the dog is incredibly intelligent and quick to learn…. Then he goes and forgets everything and pees on the carpet again. I’ve had a multitude of face palm moments with him this month and I’m getting my moneys worth out of my carpet cleaner that’s for sure.

With our other dog, Roly house training was easy. As soon as she grasped the concept she was done and bar a few accidents which were more down to bladder control, I didn’t have to worry. With Stitch he will purposefully come in from playing outside to pee. It’s not even like he does it in the same place either. He does it wherever he likes. I will keep trying though, I think I’ve got my work cut out with him!

TV Shows

My February 2017 roundup has to include the Amazon TV Series Sneaky Pete. I have to be honest, I feel a little heartbroken that it’s over. Good news is that the show has been renewed for a second season but whether or not I can wait that long is yet to be seen. This is the type of TV show you could literally binge watch and I kind of, sort of did. #noshameinmygame

I have also unashamedly been binge watching The Only Way is Essex on Netflix. A British reality/scripted TV show that I am obsessed with.

BooksFebruary 2017 roundup

This month I have absolutely adored the book: A Dog’s Purpose – Bailey’s Story. You will absolutely love this book If you have any love for dogs in your heart. I found this book so wonderful but it did have me in tears on more than one occasion!

Food

I’m still doing Slimming World which you can catch up on here. I have a horrendous sweet tooth but I have found the Alpen Light Jaffa Cake bars satisfy this sufficiently. They really taste like a Jaffa cake and at only 3 syns each they are great to enjoy with a nice brew in the afternoon!

Beauty

This month I have been completely obsessed with Lush’s Unicorn horn from their Valentine’s collection. You can checkout the full collection here. I just adore the colours and the scent is to die for!!!

LUSH Valentine's Day Collection 2017Lately I have been worrying over my skin and age damage. It occurred to me that  don’t currently incorporate anything to prevent the effects of ageing in my skin care routine. I did a lot of research and found that rosehip oil was getting great reviews. I’m not a massive facial oil person. I’m not a massive oil person in honesty. The slimy feeling of oils and it just makes me want to take a hot shower.February 2017 roundup

I decided to give rosehip oil a chance though after all I’d rather deal with the feel of oil than having old skin any day! From the first time I used it I was pleasantly surprised with what I found. The oil absorbs into my skin really easily and I have been incorporating it with a facial massage. I didn’t wake up looking like a newborn baby but I can definitely see a difference just in taking care of my skin more.

This month I also purchased a new lipstick from MAC called Really Me. You can see me wearing it here. It’s a beautiful pink toned nude shade that is perfect for everyday or jazzing up for a night out.

Everything ElseFebruary 2017 roundup

I picked up a gorgeous pink flamingo blanket from Aldi. Admittedly I have a mild obsession with blankets and this one is so soft and I love the pink flamingo design. I love Aldi too because the prices are always fabulous too.

I hope you enjoyed my February 2017 roundup what have you been loving in February?

Your dog is named Stitch! That is sooo cute! My dog is the same way with training. He shows so much progress, but has one bad or moody day and likes to make a lil mess again! haha
