Here is my January 2017 roundup including whats been going on and things I have been loving and recommend!

Life

I almost cannot believe we are at the end of January already. I aren’t sure where the time goes anymore. It’s almost like I blinked for a moment back in 2009 and now its February 2017! Anyway despite my perception of time January has been a great month. Two weeks into the month and I relaunched both my blog and YouTube channel. I have felt like it’s something I was going to do, but just procrastinated too much. So I decided that if I want great things to happen in 2017, then I have to get up and go make them happen. I also started my Slimming World journey which you can follow here.

Henry

He’s not my baby anymore and this is terribly sad!!! However I am loving seeing the kind of boy he is blossoming into so silver linings. January has been a good month for him settling back into school after Christmas and focusing on what he wants to achieve in 2017.

Stitch

It wouldn’t be my January 2017 roundup if I didn’t mention my little ball of love! As you know back in December Stitch joined our family. You can read about him here. He has now had all of his vaccinations and is enjoying venturing out into the big world! He and my other dog Roly have become best friends!!!

 

TV Shows

I am a huge television show fan but in January there are two shows that I had to include in my January 2017 roundup! The first is Friends with Better Lives. I found this show on Netflix and it’s just a light-hearted easy to watch comedy! My only gripe is that I wish they had more episodes!!

The second show I have been obsessed with is… The Walking Dead! I know I know I am late to the party but I really didn’t think it was something I was going to enjoy. I watched one episode and was completely sucked in beyond the point of return and literally didn’t move from the TV for days!!

Movies

This month I have had a blast from the past when I realised My Best Friends wedding was on Netflix! I had a good old binge watch and remembered why I love it so much!

Books

I haven’t read an actual paper book for a long time as I find my Kindle so useful but this month I have read a paper book which I had to mention. The first is Perfect Match by Jodi Picoult. As soon as I began reading I was completely absorbed and could barely put it down! It’s quite emotional so if you like books like that I definitely recommend.

Food 

As I mentioned already I have been doing Slimming World so a lot of my food has been focused around that. One thing I have absolutely been loving though are the Slimming World HiFi Light Bars in the dark chocolate and mint flavour! I have also been loving the Options Belgian Mint hot chocolate. It’s yum and only 2 syns!!

Beauty

I have been using my Lush Snow Fairy that I got in the Boxing day sale so much!! I absolutely love the scent and it reminds me of happy times spent around my family!! I’m glad I stocked up because I’m going to be gutted when it’s gone!!

Everything Else

I have also been loving my Erin Condren planner. I am a paper and pen kind of planner and get very excited to start a fresh year with a new planner. This year I went for the Erin Condren life planner. If I’m honest it was expensive especially if you add-on the additional customs charges (ouch!) However it is the coolest planner I have ever had so I’m not complaining!
