Almost two years year ago I wrote about how I wouldn’t be sending my son to primary school the following September. As it happened later that day we were offered a school place at a lovely local school. It’s been almost a year since he finished reception and all the teachers there are wonderful. I’m a big believer that teachers are in some ways unsung heroes when it comes to our kids and I published a teacher gift guide last year which was very popular. For this reason, I have put together a handy teacher gift guide to help celebrate teachers everywhere.
Teacher Gift Guide
Elizabeth Shaw
Elizabeth Shaw has a great selection of chocolates that would make great teacher gifts. Ideal for individual gifts or a collective gift for teachers to share! The Chocolate Crisp range is bite-sized individually wrapped chocolates infused with flavour and honeycomb crisp. They are available in:
- Dark Mint Crisp,
- Milk Mint Crisp,
- Milk Orange Crisp
- or Milk Salted Caramel Crisp.
The Bites range are individual chocolate pieces with delicious toppings. You can get:
- Almond,
- Raspberry
- Or Cappuccino
Personally, I am a bit partial to their luxury biscuit range. It makes biscuit time feel a bit fancier if I’m honest and they taste amazing! They would make a great teacher gift and they are the ideal treat to pass round the staff room at break time! Find out more about the full Elizabeth Shaw range on their website.
Dobell Harris Tweed Brown with Blue Overcheck Bow Tie
Dobell have a fantastic selection of gift ideas for teachers from smart ties to affordable cufflinks. One of my favourite items is their Harris Tweed Brown with Blue Overcheck bow tie! It’s pre-tied,100% wool and well made! It’s an age-old classic piece of attire that would be the perfect gift for a male teacher that likes something different to the day to day standard tie.
Check out the Dobell website to find out more.
Mia Tui Foldable Shoppers
I’m a big Mia Tui fan. Their bags are well made, full of colour, personality and affordable. A nice teacher gift idea from them would be one of their foldable shoppers. They are a great size making them perfect for carrying home all of those books for marking!! Not only are these bags cute and practical they are reusable making them eco-friendly. Schools are teaching a lot about reducing plastics and the Mia Tui foldable shoppers are a great way of demonstrating how we can do that.
Each bag folds up neatly making it perfect to slip in a handbag or put in a pocket. They come in lots of different colours and styles like this navy, purple and red ones with cute white stars.

Olverum
A teaching job isn’t nine to five. Teachers often have to take work home to complete and they spend a huge amount of their personal time working. It can also be an incredibly stressful job and you can guarantee that by the end of the day all they want to do is relax. A great gift idea that can help with exactly that is Olverum bath oil. This oil is one of the most relaxing and luxurious bath products I have ever used and I recommend it to everyone!
Olverum comes in different sizes:
125ml which is enough for 25 baths – £29.00
250 ml which is enough for 50 baths – £53.00
They also have a travel set which is enough for 9 baths and would, in my opinion, make the perfect teacher gift!
Olverum is available from Liberty, Conran, Harvey Nichols and Fenwick.
The Grown Up Chocolate Company
I was recently introduced to The Grown Up Chocolate Company and I have to say their range of chocolates and personalisation options is incredible. You can personalise a chocolate bar in any way you want making them ideal gifts for Fathers day, Mothers day, Birthdays and of course Teachers! The personalisation adds a unique touch making them fun and different. A box of three 100g bars is £25.00.
They also do a selection of gifts one of my favourites being the Superb Salted Caramel Truffles. Nine delicious milk truffles with creamy caramel encased in milk chocolate! These would make a great treat for a for a well deserving teacher just £12.10.
