Last week I stepped on the scales and restarted my Slimming World journey. I have spent the last week finding my way with the plan and really trying to re-establish my groove. Week one of Slimming World can be really easy or really hard dependent on where your mindset is. I have to admit I really wasn’t sure what the scales would say on weigh day but for those of you who are interested here is my week one Slimming World Update.
Week One Challenges
I know that each week I am embarking on this journey there will be challenges and week one was no exception. It was hard restarting the plan off the back of a food-filled Christmas. There was the temptation of leftover food and alcohol that hadn’t been consumed and not to mention just breaking the habits that had formed so quickly over the festive break.
Another big thing for me is craving something sweet, and I can be absolutely fine all through the day, but when it comes to wind down time in the evenings I really fancy something sweet. I spend the majority of my day running around after everyone, and as Hugo is teething, he is far more clingy than usual which often means that I don’t get a moments peace. That sweet treat in the evenings is sometimes all that keeps me going and it has been really challenging not to reach for that in the evenings automatically.
Highly Recommend
I have had a few ‘go to’ items that have helped me get through week one, and the main one has to be the Halo Top Ice Cream. This has been my sweet treat replacement, and it’s so delicious you wouldn’t know it was allowed on plan! I have been using my syns on an ice cream treat when I have needed that sweet fix, and it’s finding replacements like this that really help keep me on track.

Week One Weigh In
I really wasn’t sure what the scales would say this week I stuck to plan, but I did find it more challenging than I thought it would at first. I know that I need to find my footing and get back into the swing so I am hoping that this becomes easier as the weeks go on.
Week One of Slimming World I lost: 4lbs
I’m really pleased with a four-pound loss, and it has given me that boost I need to push on and reach my target weight. I haven’t taken any body images this week as there really won’t be any comparison to my start weight yet, but as the weeks go on, I plan on documenting how the weight loss looks in pictures.
Next Weeks Goal
I’d really like to lose 3lbs next week I think that as I’m getting into the groove, this should be achievable.
